Over the years, WEA members have celebrated a variety of achievements. Here are just a few of them:
***1999-2000 -Education Support Professionals (ESP) joined WEA s a bargaining unit.
***2006 -Laura Wood was recognized by CEA as Education Support Profession of the Year. She was also recognized by NEA for her award.
***2006-2007 – WEA Licensed staff were the first in the state to bargain a starting salary of $40,000
***2007 – WEA was recognized for having the 40,000 member of the state to sign-up.
***2022 – Andy Hartman received the Mel Mickelson Diamond Award from CEA for his outstanding collective bargaining service.
***2023 All ESP had a minimum starting wage over $20/hour. (highest across the state of Colorado).
