WEA Political Director Derek Hawkins and UniServ Director Peter Morris attended #CEALobbyDay on February 28 and had the pleasure of meeting with State Representative Shannon Bird. Representative Bird was endorsed by WEA in the last election and has agreed to sponsor the new evaluation bill in the House. This bill will include language that will evaluate non-probationary teachers every three years instead of annually along with some other tweaks to SB 10-191 which was passed nine years ago.
