Hurricane Harvey Resources & Relief

Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund for NEA Members Hurricane Harvey is having a devastating impact on thousands along the Gulf Coast, including educators just starting their school year. The NEA Foundation is accepting contributions to support public school educators who are NEA/TSTA members affected by Hurricane Harvey, personally, and at the schools where they work.  

WEA Members Ratify the 2017–2018 Contract

During the second and third week of August the WEA members ratified the 2017-2018 WEA contracts.  Both the Certified and the ESP contracts were ratified and will be retro active to July 1, 2017. As soon as WEA receives the updated contracts they will be posted on the WEA website.

Latest Negotiations Update

We have been receiving phone calls and emails requesting updates on our negotiations.  There is nothing new to report. The board of education president reported at their last board meeting in June that they would not be having a last board meeting in June because WEA could not figure out how and when to vote.
